Job summary

Together Staffing group client in Western Cape is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead engineering and maintenance operations in a plastics manufacturing facility. You will ensure safe, efficient asset performance and drive continuous improvement across production lines.

Key focus areas include developing maintenance strategies, leading CMMS and reliability programs, managing teams and contracts, and delivering KPI-based improvements while complying with health, safety and environmental

Qualifications

Matric is required.
Millwright/ Electrician/ Tool Maker Trade Test advantageous
5–7 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in plastics or manufacturing
Knowledge of plastic processing equipment and maintenance best practices
Experience in asset management, CMMS, and reliability engineering
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

Develop and execute maintenance strategies to maximise equipment uptime and plant performance
Lead preventative, predictive, and reliability-centred maintenance programmes
Manage maintenance teams, engineering resources, contractors, and capital projects
Improve equipment reliability through root cause analysis and process optimisation
Monitor maintenance KPIs, budgets, and asset performance
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, health and safety legislation, and environmental requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Work closely with production and senior management to achieve operational objectives
