Job summary

Greys Recruitment seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance, repair and upkeep of machinery, equipment, infrastructure and facilities in a large fruit cold storage and warehouse environment.

You will coordinate maintenance tasks, including welding, basic mechanical work, electrical maintenance, and general repairs, with strong administrative and organisational skills to manage schedules, stock and servicing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in a warehouse/industrial environment.
• Proven ability in welding, basic mechanical repairs, and electrical maintenance.
• Experience managing maintenance records, schedules, and reports.
• Strong preventative maintenance knowledge and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform routine maintenance and repairs across the facility.
• Carry out welding, basic mechanical repairs, electrical maintenance and handyman tasks as qualified.
• Identify faults and ensure prompt repairs to minimise downtime.
• Maintain warehouse and cold storage infrastructure including doors, ramps and fixtures.
• Ensure equipment is serviced and maintained; coordinate external contractors when needed.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and records.
• Monitor stock, tools, and spare parts; manage inventory levels and procurement.
• Prepare maintenance reports and communicate risks to management.
