JVR Software is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance across two luxury game lodges and related facilities in South Africa. The role requires leadership of a maintenance team, planning preventive and reactive schedules, and ensuring high standards for guest facilities and infrastructure.

Requirements include 5+ years in a similar role within hospitality, solid knowledge of vehicle mechanics, boreholes and water systems, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Maintenance Management role within hospitality, lodges, or game reserves
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and fleet maintenance
• Practical experience with boreholes, pumps, reticulation, and water supply systems
• General building, electrical, plumbing, and maintenance knowledge essential
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programmes and maintenance budgets
• Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Valid Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle essential
• Ability to work independently and respond to after-hours emergencies

• Lead, train, and manage the maintenance team
• Plan and implement preventative and reactive maintenance schedules
• Ensure guest facilities, staff accommodation, and infrastructure are maintained to exceptional standards
• Oversee servicing and maintenance of game drive and utility vehicles
• Manage boreholes, pumps, water systems, and reserve infrastructure
• Maintain stock levels, tools, spares, and supplier relationships
• Coordinate maintenance projects while minimising disruption to lodge operations
• Assist with general reserve infrastructure including roads, fencing, and buildings
