Job summary

MA Automotive Tool and Die (PTY) Ltd seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage day-to-day activities within the Maintenance department. You will lead shift leaders, technicians, and specialists in robotics and PLC systems, aiming for rapid MTTR and zero downtime.

The role requires strong fault-finding, welding, and reading of hydraulic/pneumatic drawings, with 5+ years in an automotive electrical environment and knowledge of ABB/Kuka robots and Siemens S7/TIA Portal.

Qualifications

NQF educational level N6/ Diploma/ Degree/ Trade.
Educational qualification: Technical Diploma or Mechatronics.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a millwright in the electrical field within an Automotive environment.
Extensive working knowledge of ABB and Kuka Robot, TIA Portal, PLC Programming Siemens, S7, Festo, BMW V8 standard and stamp ware.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and train shift leaders and technicians in robotics & PLC maintenance.
Responsible for day-to-day administration within Maintenance and coordination of shifts.
Ensure MTTR < 20 minutes and downtime targets, perform root-cause analysis.
Oversee TPM inspections, overtime booking, and compliance with legal limits.
