Job summary

Autoliv in Krugersdorp, South Africa seeks an experienced maintenance professional to drive productivity and reliability in our automotive production environment. The role requires hands-on fault finding, electrical panel work, and strong Lean manufacturing principles to continuously improve equipment performance.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in a similar role, detailed pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge, and proven ability to read drawings, wire assembly, and commission equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
• Detailed pneumatic knowledge.
• Detailed hydraulic knowledge.
• Electrical panel building, wiring, reading drawings and commissioning.
• Fault finding on sensors, drives, motors and machines.
• Maintenance and improvement of production equipment, presses and injection moulding machinery.
• Mechanical maintenance, upgrading and commissioning of equipment.
• Ability to create a self-motivating environment.
• Passionate about productivity improvements.
• Competent in Lean manufacturing skills.
• Good planner and strong interpersonal skills.
• Root cause driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve existing production equipment, presses and injection moulding machinery.
• Perform electrical panel building, wiring and commissioning; read drawings.
• Diagnose and fault-find issues on sensors, drives, motors and machines.
• Plan and execute maintenance to sustain productivity and equipment reliability.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role

Automotive Industry Experience will be an advantage

Detailed pneumatic knowledge

Detailed hydraulic knowledge

Electrical panel building, wiring, reading drawings and commissioning.

Fault Finding ability with regards to faulty sensors, drives, motors and machines

Maintenance and improvement of existing production equipment, presses and injection moulding machinery

Mechanical maintenance, upgrading and commissioning of all equipment.
