Job summary

City & Guilds is seeking External Quality Assessors to carry out and document quality assurance activities in line with City & Guilds and regulatory arrangements. This role offers a flexible earning opportunity with competitive daily rates and the chance to apply your industry expertise alongside your current job.

You will support centres, plan and monitor QA activities, and travel to Ireland and the south as required.

• Current and credible expertise in maintenance engineering technologies.
• Holds the appropriate assessor qualification (D32/D33 or A1/A2 or TAQA Level 3).
• Experience in a regulated environment and ability to provide concise feedback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with learners and staff.

About The Role

Our EQAs support our centres with current industry and quality assurance expertise. As a City & Guilds EQA you will need to maintain effective working relationships with our centres and the City & Guilds office, planning and monitoring quality assurance activities in line with our qualification requirements. The role is both a challenging and rewarding experience and a great opportunity to use your industry expertise.

Applicants must meet the essential criteria:

• current and credible expertise of workingwith theMaintenance Engineering Technologies: Mechanical qualifications
• hold the appropriate assessor qualification (D32/D33 orA1/A2 orTAQA Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement)
• achieved or be working towards the (6312-41) External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (TAQA) or its equivalent (D35/ V2)
• experience of working in a regulated environment
• excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of providing supportive, concise feedback to both learners, assessors and delivery staff
• Ideally located within the region(s) of the advertised vacancy
• Travel to Ireland and the south will be required for centres.
