Job summary

AB InBev Africa is seeking a maintenance planner to ensure effective maintenance plans for the brewing area, manage spares, and coordinate resources for planned outages. A trade-qualified artisan with SAP experience is essential.

Requirements include N6 qualification, 3–5 years of engineering management, and preferred maltings experience. You will lead a team, ensure safety and housekeeping, and drive continuous improvement in outage planning.

Qualifications

  • Trade tested, qualified artisan, electrician, millwright or similar (must have).
  • N6 qualification.
  • 3-5 years management experience in an engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in SAP is required.
  • Candidates with maltings environment experience are strongly preferred.
  • Must have experience leading a team.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures and legislation
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
  • Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation / systems
  • Develop the plan
  • Tags and work airings from inspection tasks are planned to carry out repairs
  • Continuously improve (optimise) plans and look for opportunities to reduce the overall planned maintenance outage, whilst ensuring that all required work is carried, and plant is not placed at risk
  • Communicate effectively in teams and all levels in the plant
  • Contribute to self and team development
  • All work is carried out using the VPO principles
  • Understands, Implements and Complies to the GOP requirements
  • Sustains what has been implemented

Key Purpose

of this role is to ensure that effective maintenance plans are in place for the maintenance of applicable equipment, that spares are available for the planned work, resources are available to execute. On the planned maintenance outage, monitor that the plan is effective. Makes recommendations to the maintenance controller, Brewing Area Manager and Brewing Engineer if unforeseen work arises.
