Job summary

Afrimat CM North (Hartebeesfontein) in Balmoral, Mpumalanga, is seeking a Machine Operator. The role requires a Matric/Grade 12 and a valid driver's license, with an Articulated Dump Truck certificate; Front End Loader certification is advantageous.

You will work at a mining site, operating machinery safely and communicating with site personnel. Applicants should have 2+ years in a mining environment, be able to work independently or as part of a team, and be medically fit under MHSA standards.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 and valid driver's license.
• Articulated Dump Truck Competency Certificate; Front End Loader cert/experience advantageous.
• 2+ years mining experience.
• Ability to distinguish alarms and sounds on site.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; medically fit per Mine Health and Safety Act.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of machine inside mining area.
• Handling and / or moving of material.
• Effectively communicate to all site personnel.
• Daily pre-start inspections on the machines.
• Keep machine clean.
