• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of industrial machinery.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to best practices.
• Familiarity with East London manufacturing industry is advantageous.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent manufacturing entity located in East London , is seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Maintenance Technician. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all production machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment within the East London plant. This position requires hands-on expertise and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. It is an on-site role, essential for the smooth operation of our manufacturing lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in a timely manner.
• Install, move, and modify production equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs and parts used.
• Ensure that all maintenance and repair work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
