Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment seeks an experienced Camp Manager to lead daily operations at a luxury safari lodge in a remote setting. You will oversee guest services, accommodation, F&B, housekeeping and maintenance while building strong teams and delivering personalised service.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will balance guest satisfaction with staff development and fiscal controls, ensuring health and safety standards and memorable guest experiences in this exclusive retreat.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in a luxury safari camp, lodge or similar remote hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a passion for developing others.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across guest services, accommodation, food and beverage, housekeeping and maintenance.
• Lead, support and develop the camp team, encouraging accountability, teamwork and service excellence.
• Maintain a strong guest presence, anticipating individual needs and coordinating camp activities seamlessly.
• Uphold high food and beverage service standards with stock control and inventory management.
• Monitor operational costs and support sound financial and administrative controls.
• Conduct accommodation inspections and coordinate maintenance to keep the camp guest-ready.
• Maintain health and safety standards throughout the property.
• Support the General Manager with operational reporting and continuous improvements.
