Job summary

Luxury Estate; Hotel & Spa near Somerset West seeks an experienced Events Lead to drive and grow conference, meetings, private functions, weddings, and group business. You will manage the complete lifecycle from inquiry to final reconciliation, reporting to the Revenue Manager, and coordinating with sales, F&B, and operations to deliver 5* events.

The role focuses on converting opportunities, maximizing revenue, and maintaining exceptional client and guest experiences across all events.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in conference & events or related role in 4/5* hospitality.
• Proven track record in event sales and client relationship management.
• Strong commercial and revenue awareness.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple events.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel or driver's licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and convert conference, MICE, group and private event enquiries.
• Develop new business opportunities and build relationships with corporate clients.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and presentations.
• Coordinate Function Sheets/Event Orders and communicate requirements.
• Lead weekly operational meetings to ensure event planning and execution.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Sales, F&B, Front Office, Finance and Operations.
• Monitor revenue and sales performance; produce regular reports.
• Ensure events meet 5* standards and guest experience.
