Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager - Asian for the Cape Winelands region. The role oversees day-to-day restaurant operations, in-room dining and pool terrace service, and partners with the Head Chef and F&B leadership to deliver high-quality dining experiences.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in a luxury or 5-star setting, strong wine knowledge, and superb communication skills, with the ability to manage high-end clientele and maintain standards under pressure.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completed as a minimum education requirement.
• Qualification in Hospitality or Food Service Management is preferred.
• 2–3 years as a Restaurant Manager in a luxury or 5-star setting.
• Wine knowledge or certification is advantageous.
• Previous fine dining experience is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Comfortable serving high-end clientele.
• Good knowledge of food and wine.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the restaurant and related dining areas.
• Ensure guests receive excellent service at all times.
• Handle guest queries or complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with the Sommelier to maintain wine and beverage lists.
• Recruit, train and manage restaurant staff, including rosters and overtime.
• Oversee stock ordering, stock control and budget management.
• Ensure all hygiene, safety and food service standards are followed.
