Qualifications

• Seven years of proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks.
• At least 3 years in refrigerated transport.
• Valid Class 1 (Code 14) licence with PDP.
• Excellent driving record with no major violations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 heavy-duty truck for long-haul refrigerated transport.
• Transport perishable goods with temperature integrity maintained.
• Monitor refrigeration unit settings to meet cargo requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and systems.
• Plan routes considering schedules, rest breaks, and road conditions.
• Maintain logs of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
• Respond promptly to emergencies or breakdowns.
