Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle driver for long-haul routes starting from Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will be responsible for safe and timely freight transportation, complying with regulations, maintaining logs, and coordinating with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of verifiable HGV long-haul experience, a Code 14 (CE) license with PrDP, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable long-haul HGV driving experience.
• Valid Code 14 (CE) driver’s license with a valid PrDP.
• Excellent driving record with no major accidents or serious traffic violations.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy goods vehicles for long-distance transportation.
• Ensure safe loading, securing, and unloading of cargo.
• Plan and execute optimal routes to meet delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintenance checks.
