Placements24 is seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) driver for regional haulage based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role requires a Code 14 license with PDP, and at least five years of verifiable HGV driving experience.

You will plan routes, perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure safe, timely deliveries while complying with regulations and company policies. A competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV license (Code 14) with PDP.
• Minimum 5 years of verifiable HGV driving experience.
• Excellent knowledge of HGV mechanics and safety protocols.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGVs safely for regional haulage routes.
• Plan daily routes from Richards Bay to regional destinations.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of brakes, tires, lights and fluids.
• Securely load/unload cargo with attention to weight restrictions.
• Maintain driver logs, delivery records and maintenance reports.
• Adhere to road safety regulations, tachograph rules and company policies.
