You will execute scheduled deliveries, optimize routes, perform safety checks, load/unload cargo, and maintain delivery records. The position is full-time with hybrid duties and opportunities for advancement within a safety-conscious, customer-focused logistics

Qualifications

• Valid Code 10 license with clean driving record.
• Previous experience in driving or logistics-focused role.
• In-depth knowledge of George and surrounding Western Cape area.
• Ability to lift up to 20kg.
• Willingness to undergo background verification.
• Proficiency with GPS devices and route planning software.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled deliveries and pick-ups of goods using a company van in and around George, Western Cape.
• Optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transit time.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure operational safety and report any issues promptly.
• Safely load and unload items, ensuring they are properly secured.
• Maintain comprehensive records of deliveries, collections, and vehicle maintenance.
• Strictly adhere to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols.
• Engage with customers professionally during interactions, representing the company positively.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when not engaged in driving, such as inventory management and order picking.
• Troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road if feasible and safe.
