Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Logistics Coordinator in George, Western Cape. The role focuses on ensuring smooth flow of goods, coordinating schedules, and optimizing routes across the Western Cape and beyond in a hybrid work setting.

You will manage inbound/outbound activities, liaise with carriers, maintain shipment records, mentor junior staff, and prepare performance reports while complying with transport regulations. Strong ERP and Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in logistics coordination, with 2+ years in a lead role.
• Experience managing domestic and international transportation.
• Strong knowledge of ERP and logistics software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities with cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and optimize transportation routes and schedules.
• Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to negotiate rates and ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods.
• Maintain records of shipments, inventory, and delivery status using logistics software.
• Identify and resolve logistical disruptions to minimize delays.
