Job summary

MPRTC Recruitment is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee health and safety across multiple sites in South Africa. The role requires a formal qualification in safety management and substantial field experience in HSE compliance and incident investigations.

The successful candidate will develop safety policies, conduct audits, and ensure adherence to legislation, while maintaining strong reporting and communication with site teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably across multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills.
• Experience with Road Transport Management System (RTMS) compliance advantageous.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites advantageous.
