Placements24 in Kimberley, Northern Cape, is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Network Analyst to join our operations on-site. The role focuses on analyzing and optimizing the distribution network to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.

You will gather and analyze data related to transportation, warehousing, and inventory, identifying trends and recommending strategic improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics analysis, supply chain planning, or a related analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced), SQL, and/or Python/R.
• Familiarity with logistics software and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize routing.
• Evaluate warehouse performance and suggest improvements in layout, operations, and inventory management.
• Develop models and simulations to test network scenarios and assess impact.
• Monitor KPIs such as cost per mile, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.
• Prepare reports and presentations on network performance and recommendations for management.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather data and implement changes.
• Identify risks within the logistics network and propose mitigation strategies.
• Assist in developing business cases for network improvements and capital investments.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and SC optimization.
• Maintain and update logistics databases and system information.
