Placements24 is seeking a Logistics & Supply Chain Analyst in Upington to optimize procurement-to-delivery flows, enhance service levels, and reduce costs. The role focuses on data analysis, process improvement, and collaboration across procurement, warehousing and sales.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least four years' logistics experience, and strong skills in Excel, SQL, and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Admin, Statistics or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in logistics or supply chain analysis.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting and process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and transportation logistics.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels, demand forecasts, and stock movements to optimize stock availability and carrying costs.
• Evaluate transportation routes, modes and carrier performance for cost and service improvements.
• Develop and maintain KPIs for supply chain and logistics operations.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehousing and sales to align strategies.
• Support implementation of new supply chain technologies and process improvements.
• Prepare reports and presentations on supply chain performance and recommendations.
• Assist in forecasting demand and optimizing inventory deployment.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure business continuity.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics and supply chain processes.
