Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly analytical Logistics Network Analyst in Nelspruit to optimize our distribution network. You will build data-driven models for facility location, transportation routes and inventory placement, and monitor KPIs to drive cost reductions and service improvements.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics or network optimization, strong Excel/SQL skills, and experience with optimization tools. A hybrid work arrangement and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or network optimization.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with data modeling and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced), SQL, and optimization or BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transportation data (costs, transit times, carrier performance) to identify improvements.
• Develop models for network design: facility location, capacity planning, inventory optimization.
• Evaluate routes for cost efficiency and suggest alternatives.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales to gather requirements.
• Prepare reports and presentations on network performance, findings, and recommendations.
• Use advanced software for modeling and scenario planning.
• Monitor KPIs related to logistics network efficiency and cost.
• Support initiatives like warehouse consolidation and new DC setups.
