Placements24 has partnered with a leading national distributor to appoint a Logistics & Distribution Manager for Upington, Northern Cape. This senior role oversees warehousing, inventory, transportation, fleet, and budget management, driving strategy across the supply chain.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in logistics, with at least 5 in a senior role, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; a Master's is highly desirable.

• A Master's degree is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in logistics and distribution management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Extensive experience in managing large-scale warehouse operations, transportation, and fleet management.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful logistics strategies that drive cost savings and efficiency.
• In-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and ERP systems.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and demanding operational environment.
• Experience managing operations in the Upington, Northern Cape region or similar is a significant plus.

• Drive innovation and adopt new technologies to enhance logistics efficiency and service levels.

About the Role

Our client, a leading national distributor with a significant presence across South Africa, is seeking a strategic and experienced Logistics & Distribution Manager to lead their operations in Upington, Northern Cape.
