Placements24 is recruiting a Logistics & Distribution Manager for our client in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. You will oversee the complete supply chain—from warehousing to delivery—balancing remote strategy with on-site leadership. A track record of optimizing networks, reducing costs, and improving service levels is essential.

You will lead a team, manage budgets/P&L, and drive best practices using WMS/TMS. A mix of strategic planning and hands-on oversight is required in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years in logistics/supply chain with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience in warehousing, transportation and inventory control.
• Strong knowledge of WMS and TMS systems.
• Ability to develop strategic plans, drive cost savings, improve efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Data-driven decision making and budgeting experience.
• Hybrid work environment; familiarity with international trade is a plus.

Our client, a leading name in the Logistics & Warehousing sector, is looking for an experienced and strategic Logistics & Distribution Manager to oversee their operations in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. This key role involves managing the entire supply chain, from warehousing and inventory to transportation and final delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in optimizing logistics networks, reducing costs, and improving service levels. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive logistics and distribution strategies to meet company objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of warehousing, inventory management, and transportation operations.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers.
• Optimize supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in managing complex logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory control.
• Strong understanding of WMS, TMS, and other relevant logistics software.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive cost savings, and improve operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Experience in managing budgets and P&L for logistics operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing strategic planning with on-site operational oversight.
• Knowledge of international trade and customs procedures is a plus.
