Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator in Durban, SA. You will manage daily transport operations, coordinate drivers, and optimize schedules while liaising with partners to ensure timely deliveries.

Formación

• Minimum high school diploma; degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
• Proven experience as Logistics Coordinator or similar in transport/logistics.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and transportation methods.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and manage daily transport operations including driver scheduling and route planning.
• Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and communicate status updates.
• Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff and external partners to keep operations smooth.
• Track vehicle movements and provide real-time delivery updates.
• Resolve logistical issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain records of transportation activities, costs and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Process shipping documents and maintain inventory control.
• Help optimize logistics processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Respond to inquiries from clients and internal teams regarding shipment status.

Requirements
