Placements24 in Kimberley is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee day-to-day supply chain operations across the Northern Cape. You will manage inventory, coordinate transport, and liaise with warehouses and drivers to ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries.

The role is on-site at Kimberley; the ideal candidate has Grade 12 and a logistics diploma or equivalent, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with logistics software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics coordination or supply chain roles.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control and transportation.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Proficient in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day logistics activities including transportation, warehousing and inventory management.
• Liaise with transport providers to schedule and track shipments into and out of the Northern Cape.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and rotation.
• Oversee receiving and dispatching of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Work with drivers to plan routes and schedules within the Kimberley region.
• Address and resolve logistical issues and customer inquiries promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory and operational data.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations and transport laws.
• Collaborate with Sales and Procurement to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce costs.
