Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role.
• Knowledge of logistics industry in Africa (DRC, Zambia & ports such as Durban, Dar Es Salaam and Walvis Bay)

Responsibilities

• Coordinating transportation with suppliers, transporters, freight forwarders and customers.
• Planning and monitoring local, cross-border and international shipments.
• Obtaining and comparing freight rates and negotiating transport costs.
• Preparing and coordinating shipping and commercial documentation.
• Tracking cargo and providing customers and internal teams with shipment updates.
• Coordinating customs clearance, permits and border requirements.
• Ensuring quantities, delivery points and contractual requirements are correctly managed.
• Liaising closely with the trading, sales, procurement, finance and operations teams.
• Monitoring delivery schedules and resolving delays, discrepancies or logistical problems.
• Checking freight invoices and assisting with accurate calculation of the landed cost of goods.
• Maintaining shipment records and logistics reporting.
• Identifying opportunities to improve routes, transportation costs and overall supply-chain efficiency

R40-50 000, no benefits (negotiable)

The role ensure that shipments are executed efficiently, cost effectively and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
