Job summary

Geely Auto South Africa is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to optimize the flow of vehicles from factory to customers. The role focuses on timely transportation, compliant documentation, and strong coordination with carriers and internal teams.

You will plan inbound/outbound shipments, monitor progress, and ensure accurate records across domestic and cross-border logistics. Automotive industry experience is advantageous and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain.
• Experience in the automotive industry is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping processes.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and freight costing.
• Experience with customs clearance and import/export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
• Track shipments and resolve delays, damages or shortages.
• Prepare and maintain shipping, customs, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor inventory movement and support storage yard operations as needed.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and reports.
• Assist with import and export documentation.
• Plan and coordinate transportation of vehicles.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics for dealerships.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
• Resolve delivery delays, missing items, and transportation issues.
• Investigate delays, damaged goods, lost shipments, and delivery errors.
• Escalate major logistics issues to management.
• Prepare shipping and customs documents (BOLs, invoices, export/import paperwork)
