Job summary

Top Vitae Recruitment is seeking a logistics support specialist to coordinate market-specific logistics, stock allocation and general operations, including late nights and weekends during the citrus season.

You will handle bookings, stock allocation, risk reporting, invoicing and planning, supporting other departments with logistical queries and operations analyses.

The role requires accuracy, intermediate Excel skills, familiarity with pallets, and experience in fruit export logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience in fruit export industry is essential.
• Intermediate numerical abilities (calculations and numerical reasoning).
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Iroot for allocating pallets, bookings and day-to-day processing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Bookings creation/cancellation and follow up for specific markets
• Vessel bookings with shipping lines
• Allocating and managing stock; sending loading instructions; distribution packing lists
• Risk report analyses: unallocated stock age risk, depot capacity, weight restrictions, vessel movements tracking
• Invoicing: approval and querying invoices - Freight/Cold store/Transport/Forwarders
• Planning: program management, commercial contact person, management of stock
• General: support to other departments in logistical queries, operational analyses, deviation tracking, documentation tracking

Job description

Providing logistic support for specific markets and assisting in market stock allocation and general operations. The tasks include coordination the logistics operations to ensure all operational requirements are met with optimum cost and risk management. Must be able to work late nights and weekends during the citrus season.

Responsibilities:

• Bookings

  • Pull, validate and the distribution packing list

Requirements:
