SGS Randfontein is seeking a login clerk to record received samples in SLIMS, print labels, and ensure proper sorting and boxing. The role requires adherence to quality directives and ISO17025, with responsibility to report issues to the Logistics Supervisor and maintain orderly receiving areas.

The position also involves interacting with clients via email and working across departments as needed, under direct supervision of the Senior Administration and Logistics Supervisor.

Formación

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Competent in logging samples and working with CClas.
• Able to interact with clients, personally or via e-mail.

Responsabilidades

• Follow all quality directives of this Department.
• Report equipment or process issues to the Logistics Supervisor.
• Adhere to SGS safety rules and ISO17025 requirements.
• Maintain orderly housekeeping in receiving area.
• Work in other areas/divisions if asked.
• Perform tasks assigned by the direct line manager.

Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

To outline the responsibilities and authorities of the login clerk at SGS Randfontein.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibility to log received samples into the SLIMS using work orders from the client.
• Responsibility to print sample labels.
• Responsibility to ensure samples are sorted correctly before labeling and boxing the samples.
• Responsibility for following all quality directives of this Department.
• Responsibility to bring all problems (technical and managerial) to the attention of the Senior Administration and Logistics Supervisor
• Responsibility to adhere to all quality, health, and safety rules and regulations.
• Responsibility to ensure that the housekeeping in the receiving area is in order.
• Comply with and conform to the Laboratory Quality Management System (ISO17025).
• Report immediately any equipment that is not functioning correctly to the Logistics Supervisor
• Responsible for working in other areas and/or Divisions if asked to do so.
• Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the direct line manager.

Qualifications

Education

• Minimum Grade 12.

Experience

• Competent in logging samples and working with CClas.
• Able to interact with clients, personally or via e-mail.

• Excellent communication skills with good written and spoken English
• Strong experience with SLIMS
• Good Analytical Skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines
• Ability to prioritize activities and be flexible to adjust to a variety of situations
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
