The role requires a valid Code 10/C1 or Code 14/EC with PrDP, proven refrigerated-truck experience, a strong safety record, and the ability to plan routes, load and unload carefully, and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Code 10/C1 or Code 14/EC) with PrDP.
• Experience driving refrigerated trucks is essential.
• Familiarity with operating and monitoring refrigeration units.
• Knowledge of Mossel Bay and surrounding area routes.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate refrigerated trucks to transport temperature-sensitive goods.
• Monitor and maintain correct temperature settings for various cargo types.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including refrigeration units.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes throughout Mossel Bay and surrounding regions.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent spoilage or damage.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and temperature records.
• Provide professional and courteous service to clients at delivery points.
