Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers in South Africa seeks a Local Receiving Manager to oversee delivery receipt to stores and return dispatch to vendors. You will minimize shrinkage at receiving doors and handle related admin tasks, including visitors and merchandisers entry control.

The role requires Matric/Grade 12 and 1–2 years receiving supervisor experience, with strong communication and customer-focused skills. Duty involves working long hours and in open areas, with a safety-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Receive and return goods systematically and accurately according to laid down company policies and procedures.
• Conduct quality checks.
• Ensure that the cold chain is maintained.
• Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards are maintained.
• Ensure that security procedures are adhered to.
• Assist with relieve security procedures at the back door.
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages.
• Complete all relevant administration/documentation.
• Operate equipment according to laid down standards.
• Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers and suppliers.

Job description
