Job summary

BKB Ltd in South Africa is seeking an energetic Loadmaster to oversee receipt, loading, and offloading of livestock at specials and stud auctions, and to ensure auctions run smoothly.

The role requires 3 years in livestock, a valid EC license and PDP, bilingual Afrikaans and English, and willingness to travel and work long hours; will involve building pens and managing wages staff.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the livestock environment.
• Valid EC license.
• Valid PDP (Public Driver’s Permit).
• Prepared to work long hours and willing to travel.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for effective and efficient logistics and administrative processes.
• Loading and offloading of livestock and building of pens at auctions.
• Completion and submission of proper accounts and offloading tickets.
• General auction site organization and related functions.
• Management of wages employees.
• Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of company vehicles by following procedures.
• Management of diesel consumption.

BKB is looking for an energetic Loadmaster to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the receipt, loading and offloading of livestock, as well as building pens, for Special and Stud auctions and to ensure that all auctions run smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES:

• Grade 12
• At least 3 years’ experience in the Livestock environment
• Valid EC license
• Valid PDP (Public Driver’s Permit)
• Prepared to work long hours and willing to travel
• Must be fully bilingual and conversant in Afrikaans & English
