Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an LLM Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems on top of LLMs, not model training, and you will work with leadership to turn a documented roadmap into shipped automation workflows.

You will have hands-on experience with LangChain/LangGraph and API integrations, building tools and pipelines that cut manual effort across our design and development stack.

Qualifications

• Production software development experience with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain/LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs including function calling and tool use.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development processes.
• Create automation pipelines linking WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• Implement MCP server integrations as part of the AI stack.

This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.

What You Bring

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.
