Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is hiring an LLM Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop AI models, not model training.

You will collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to convert a documented automation roadmap into shipped workflows. The role requires 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js and hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent frameworks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or AutoGen.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or similar frameworks.
• Integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development.
• Create automation pipelines connecting key platforms and our CMS.
• Work with engineering and delivery leadership to ship automation roadmaps.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.

• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.
