Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an experienced LLM Engineer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop LLMs rather than training models.

You will collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to translate a documented automation roadmap into shipped, working systems, leveraging LangChain, LangGraph, and related frameworks to integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs including tools and function calling.
• Develop internal tools to reduce manual hours across design and development processes.
• Create automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• Enable MCP server integrations as part of our AI stack.

This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.
