Job summary

Placements24 in Upington is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician focused on light-duty vehicles to maintain and repair customer vehicles. You will use advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues and ensure optimal performance and safety.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with light-duty systems, familiarity with diagnostic software, and a valid driver's license. Opportunities include ongoing technical training and a stable career path in the Northern Cape automotive sector.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a focus on light-duty vehicles.
Experience diagnosing and repairing common automotive issues.
Familiarity with various makes/models of light-duty vehicles.
Knowledge of automotive diagnostic software and tools.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Certification from a recognized automotive training program is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake services.
Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical systems in light-duty vehicles.
Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and use diagnostic equipment for analysis.
Replace and repair worn components according to specifications.
Conduct pre-purchase inspections and provide detailed reports.
Ensure all work meets high quality standards and safety regulations.
