Placements24 is seeking a reliable Automotive Mechanic to join their Vereeniging workshop. You will perform a wide range of general repairs and maintenance for a diverse vehicle fleet, diagnose mechanical issues, and ensure high standards of safety and performance.

This hands-on role requires proficiency with common tools and diagnostic equipment, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to quality workmanship in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Automotive Mechanic or repair technician.
• Solid understanding of automotive mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, and braking system issues.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify problems and recommend repairs.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify root causes of faults.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
