Job summary

Placements24 is seeking motivated individuals for a Trainee Automotive Technician apprenticeship in Upington, in the Northern Cape. You will train in a state-of-the-art workshop, guided by experienced technicians, learning diagnostics, maintenance, and repair across diverse vehicle models.

Participants will gain practical experience, a structured training plan, and mentorship, with a competitive trainee stipend and clear pathways for advancement as they build a career in the automotive industry

Qualifications

• Strong passion for cars and mechanical aptitude.
• Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics and Science.
• Good problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
• Physical stamina for automotive repair tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in diagnosing vehicle issues.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Learn to repair engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and proper tool handling.
• Adhere to safety protocols and workshop procedures.
