Placements24 is seeking a motivated Leisure Center Coordinator to manage a well-established sports and recreation facility in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will oversee daily operations, develop programs, supervise staff, and promote community engagement to ensure a high-quality visitor experience.

The role requires strong organizational skills, health and safety awareness, and a proactive approach to service excellence within a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating or managing in leisure, sports, or hospitality.
• Ability to develop and manage recreational programs.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with staff supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and standard office apps.
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols for recreational facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the leisure center in a safe, welcoming environment.
• Develop and manage diverse sports and recreational programs for all ages.
• Coordinate scheduling for facilities, equipment, and staff.
• Supervise front desk staff, instructors, and support teams.
• Manage memberships including registrations and renewals.
• Organize events, tournaments, and community outreach.
• Maintain inventory and procurement of supplies and equipment.
• Prepare reports on usage, programs, and finances.
• Collaborate with marketing to promote activities and attract members.
