Placements24 is seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to join a major mining and resources group. Based remotely in South Africa, you will provide expert counsel on mineral rights, environmental law, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement across the mining lifecycle.

Admitted Attorney (High Court of South Africa) with at least 7 years post-qualification experience in mining and resources law is required.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in mining and resources law.
• Experience advising on mineral law, environmental law, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the South African mining sector and its operational context.
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice in a complex industry.
