Job Purpose

To support the faculty and department in pursuit of its academic, administrative, and researchobjectives, which include: teaching according to a set syllabus; undertaking projects, research, and innovation; performing academic administration, contributing to curriculum development anddesign; engaging in work-integrated learning, Open Day to recruit Students, andservice learning activities.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A Master's egree in Information Technology or Computer Science (the candidate must have obtainedall theundergraduate underpinning qualifications within these fields of study)
• At least two (2) years’ relevant lecturing experience in Higher Education

Recommendation

• The candidate must demonstrate expertise in Communication Networks, including:
  - Computer Networks and Data Communications.
  - Network Design, Configuration, Administration, and Troubleshooting.
  - Routing and Switching technologies using platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, MikroTik, orequivalent.
  - Network Protocols, including TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, and wirelessnetworking technologies.
  - Network Security concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems(IDS/IPS), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Zero Trust Architecture, and secure network design.
  - Cloud Networking and Virtualisation technologies, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google CloudPlatform (GCP), VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent.
  - Network Automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
  - Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN), Internet ofThings (IoT), and emerging networking technologies.
  - Practical experience with networking simulation and emulation tools such as Cisco Packet Tracer,GNS3, EVE-NG,or equivalent.
• Relevant industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA,Fortinet NSE, HuaweiHCIA/HCIP, or equivalent (will be advantageous).
• Relevant industry experience in network engineering, systems administration, telecommunications,cloud networking, orcybersecurity.
• Demonstrable research capability, including knowledge of research methodologies, supervision ofpostgraduatestudents, and a record of scholarly publications (will be advantageous)
