Job summary

Rosebank College, the Independent Institute of Education (The IIE) invites applications for a lecturer to teach and engage students across modules in our higher education programs in Pretoria.

You will deliver lectures, support at-risk students, maintain LMS, and contribute to academic results analysis, with minimum requirements including a Bachelor of Education Honours and 2–3 years lecturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education Honours required; school teaching in component subjects preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of lecturing or formal tutoring.
• 1 to 3 years of industry experience in the taught area is advantageous.
• One NQF level higher than the qualification being taught.
• Copy of academic transcript.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students per module pacers.
• Manage resources including materials; consult Information Centre.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Prepare students for assessments and develop assessments per briefings.
• Monitor engagement and assessment submissions with escalation.
• Attend academic meetings across faculties.
• Reflect on and analyse student results.
• Support monitoring of at-risk students in assigned modules.
• Complete a set number of academic professional development interventions per cycle.
