• MIE, no criminal record and clear credit rating.

Responsabilités

• Ensure full ranges of products are stocked and neatly presented on shelves.
• Maintain stock levels and prevent items from expiring or going out of stock.
• Assist customers with purchases and process payments accurately.
• Report stock discrepancies and help with stock taking and replenishment.
• Adhere to company policies and health and safety rules.

Our client is recruiting learners for a Retail IndustryLearnership available across all nine provinces. If you’re eager to gainvaluable skills and start building your career in retail,

Duties/Learning Areas:

• Ensure that full ranges of products are on the shelves atall times and neatly presented.
  
• Maintain the stock on the shelves to ensure it has notreached its sell by date.
  
• Restock merchandise when needed to ensure maximum sales.
  
• All out of stock queries from customers must be followed upon, in line with the customer service out of stock list and ensure they aredealt with in a timeous manner.
  
• Ensure delivered stock and/ or stock pulled from thestoroom are stored and packed in the correct space.
  
• Ensure merchandise displays, labels and pricing are correctat all times and report all price discrepancies to management.
  
• Ensure the storeroom organised, neat and tidy.
  
• Keep up to date with new product knowledge to effectivelyassist customers.
  
• Assist with restocking of merchandise and supplies whenneeded to ensure maximum sales.
  
• Assist with back shopping when required.
  
• All merchandise must be handled carefully to prevent anylosses.
  

Customer Transactions:

• Transact all purchases – receive, verify and processes allpayments such as cash, cards, vouchers, coupons and any other acceptablepayments.
  
• Exchange merchandise for customers and accept returnedgoods by customers when authorised to do so by the Frontshop Leader.
  
• Process all loyalty cards including those of acceleratedpartners.
  
• Ensure cash is placed in the drop safe according tostandard operating procedures.
  
• Ensure all line voids and price changes are approved andsigned by a Frontshop Leader and/ or Retail Store Assistant.
  
• Ensure accurate cash flow at all times.
  

Stock Control:

• Facilitate rotation of stoke on a regular basis and adhereto stock control procedures.
  
• Report low stock levels, items that are out of stock,damaged stock and expired stock to management.
  
• Assist with the counting of stock files and generalstocktaking.
  
• Identify and report damaged and expired stock immediatelyto management.
  
• Assist with the loading and off-loading of stock whenneeded.
  
• Ensure boxes are flattened after unpacking stock and takento the designated area.
  

Customer Service:

• Establish a professional relationship with customers andprovide friendly, helpful, courteous assistance and advice to all customers.
  
• Report customer compliments and complaints to management.
  
• Adhere to the customer turnover per hour rate as percompany benchmark.
  
• Assist with the training of new and current team members.
  
• Ensure that outgoing stock/ items/ scripts are scanned andpaid for.
  
• Keep daily takings (cash, cheques, vouchers, card slips,line voids and incomplete dockets) inside the till drawer until they are placedin the drop safe.
  
• Report bad and suspicious behaviour for both staff andcustomers to management.
  

General:

• Housekeeping must be in accordance to company standards.
  
• Adhere to Company Policies and Standard OperatingProcedures.
  
• Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  
• Adhere to the Company uniform and personal appearancepolicy
  

Requirements
