Job summary

Vumilia Africa Group is seeking a Production and Quality Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations, implement lean initiatives, and maintain high quality standards across output. The role requires leading cross‑functional teams and driving continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and cost control.

You will review SOPs, manage schedules, monitor KPIs, and coordinate with other departments to address issues while ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in production management in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute production SOPs and ensure they are followed.
• Streamline and oversee production workflows.
• Monitor daily production plan and oversee output.
• Manage production schedule and nonconformities.
• Set and monitor daily performance targets.
• Manage raw material replenishment.
• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of Quality Management System.
• Assist with quality control standards and ensure output meets quality standards.
• Partner with other departments to address quality issues.
• Support internal quality audits and ensure closure of findings.
• Manage team performance and ensure clear communication.
• Provide technical support to supervisors and team leaders.
• Improve absenteeism and staff costs management.
• Conduct performance reviews and ensure policy compliance.
• Organize and lead continuous improvement projects and lean initiatives.
• Monitor manufacturing performance indicators and implement visual management systems.
• Drive cost reduction and efficiency projects.
• Report on production and quality metrics.
• Ensure health and safety standards and housekeeping.
