Placements24 is seeking a motivated Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive continuous improvement at their East London facility. You will lead lean initiatives, optimize workflows, and apply Kaizen, 5S and value stream mapping to reduce waste and boost efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management, hands-on experience with lean tools, and the ability to work in a hybrid setting with on-site implementation and remote analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen and Six Sigma.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive continuous improvement initiatives at their facility in East London . This role is key to optimizing workflows, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency through the application of lean principles. You will work closely with production teams, management, and cross-functional departments to identify opportunities, implement changes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of lean methodologies and a proven ability to implement successful change management strategies in a hybrid work setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen events, 5S, and value stream mapping.
• Identify and eliminate waste (muda) in all forms throughout the production process.
• Develop and implement standard work procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Train and mentor employees at all levels on lean principles and tools.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented lean solutions and drive further improvements.
