About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Consultant to provide expertise and guidance on implementing lean principles within their operations in Stellenbosch . You will work closely with management and operational teams to identify waste, streamline processes, and implement sustainable lean solutions. This hybrid role requires regular on-site engagement in Stellenbosch combined with remote flexibility for analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for waste reduction and efficiency gains.
• Develop and lead the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen events.
• Provide training and coaching to site personnel on lean principles and tools.
• Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lean Manufacturing Consultant or in a similar role with a strong focus on lean implementation.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., JIT, Kanban, SMED).
• Experience in facilitating Kaizen events and leading continuous improvement projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing on-site consultancy in Stellenbosch with remote work responsibilities.
