Job summary

Placements24 in East London is seeking a Distribution Centre Team Lead to drive daily operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will lead a team of associates, optimize receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch, and ensure safety and accuracy across processes.

As a leader, you will monitor performance, identify training needs, and collaborate with the DC Manager to implement improvements.

Qualifications

Experience as Team Lead or Supervisor in a warehouse or distribution centre.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance and support to achieve daily objectives.
Oversee and ensure the efficiency of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy through diligent cycle counting and system updates.
Ensure all team members adhere to safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working culture.
Monitor team performance, identify training needs, and provide coaching to enhance skills.
Collaborate with the Distribution Centre Manager to implement operational improvements and efficiencies.
