Job summary

Greys Personnel is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Lead for a distribution center in East London, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on guiding a team through daily warehouse activities to ensure productive, accurate order fulfillment and strict safety adherence.

You will drive inventory control, oversee receiving, storing and shipping, and mentor team members while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in a busy logistics environment, and promote a culture of safety,

Qualifications

• 2+ years in warehouse operations, with supervisory experience.
• Solid understanding of inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct warehouse associates in daily tasks such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Assist with inventory management including cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
• Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
