Placements24 is seeking a Lead Early Childhood Educator in Midrand, Gauteng to oversee toddler development programs for children aged 18 months to 3 years. The role combines curriculum leadership with staff supervision, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive ECD experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality care.

Formación

• Qualification in Early Childhood Development (NQF 4/5) is required.
• Minimum 5 years in childcare with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role with toddlers.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices in ECD.
• First Aid certification and a clear criminal record are mandatory.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for toddlers (18 months–3 years).
• Supervise and guide a team of childcare assistants with training and feedback.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in line with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain open communication with parents and provide progress updates.
• Conduct regular assessments of children's development and create individualized learning plans.
• Organize and lead activities including play-based learning, art, music and outdoor exploration.
• Manage classroom resources and ensure supplies are available.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere and collaborate with management to enhance programs.
