Placements24 is seeking a Lead Early Childhood Educator in Midrand, Gauteng to oversee toddler development programs for children aged 18 months to 3 years. The role combines curriculum leadership with staff supervision, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive ECD experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality care.

Formación

• Qualification in Early Childhood Development (NQF 4/5) is required.
• Minimum 5 years in childcare with at least 2 years in a supervisory/lead role with toddlers.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices in ECD.
• First Aid certification and a clear criminal record are mandatory.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
• Conduct regular assessments of children's development and create individualized learning plans.
• Organize and lead engaging activities, including play-based learning, art, music, and outdoor exploration.
• Manage classroom resources and ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity and individual differences.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and enhance childcare programs.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development (e.g., NQF Level 4/5 or equivalent).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in childcare, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, specifically with toddlers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
